How to Spot Bees Nest

What do bees look like?
Bees are flying insects, usually with black and yellow stripes on their abdomen and thorax. They have six legs and two pairs of wings. Their bodies are covered with short, soft hairs, which help carry pollen between flowers. Queen bees are generally larger than worker bees, but similar in color. Males, or drones, have wider bodies and larger eyes than workers, but are often mistaken for wasps because of their appearance.
Call a beekeeper
If you live in an area where you can find a beekeeper, this is an incredible first choice. Beekeepers are professionals when it comes to working with bees. A beekeeper would more than likely love to take the hive, care for the bees and keep them alive.

There are certain smells that bees don’t like, and mothballs are one of them. To use them, hang them near the bees’ nest(s). The smell will deter the bees from returning. You can also hang mothballs in different parts of your garden to keep your entire yard free of bees.
